Fighting Disease
We believe good health care is everyone’s right. Yet 400 million people worldwide can’t afford or don’t have access to basic health care.
Disease results in misery, pain, and poverty for millions of people worldwide. That’s why treating and preventing disease is so important to us. We lead efforts both large and small. We set up temporary health care centres, organize Multi-speciality medical camps, blood donation camps and training facilities in underserved communities struggling with outbreaks and health care access. We are the bridge that allows doctors, patients, and governments to work together.
Our members try to combat diseases. Prevention is important, which is why we also focus on health education and bringing people routine cardiovascular, cancer, chronic respiratory, hearing, vision, and dental care.
Sanitary Pads Distribution
Menstrual Health and Hygiene (MHH) is essential to the well-being and empowerment of women and adolescent girls. On any given day, more than 300 million women worldwide are menstruating. In total, an estimated 500 million lack access to menstrual products and adequate facilities for menstrual hygiene management (MHM).
While menstruation is a normal and healthy part of life for most women and girls, in many societies, the experience of menstruators continues to be constrained by cultural taboos and discriminatory social norms. The resulting lack of information about menstruation leads to unhygienic and unhealthy menstrual practices and creates misconceptions and negative attitudes, which motivate, among others, shaming, bullying, and even gender-based violence. For generations of girls and women, poor menstrual health and hygiene is exacerbating social and economic inequalities, negatively impacting their education, health, safety, and human development.
Empowering Youth
We are committed to providing youth and young adults with opportunities to succeed. Our seminars, counseling programs, skill development and recruitment drives provide young people to make positive choices, resist drugs and alcohol, focus on career, learn new skills, get employment, learn through social services and become enlightened, employed, and empowered young men and women.
Supporting Education
More than 775 million people over the age of 15 are illiterate. That’s 17 percent of the world’s adult population.
Our goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase adult literacy. We support education for all children and literacy for children and adults.
Saving Environment
The Earth sustains life. That’s why YES is dedicated to creating a sustainable and healthy future for generations to come.
We’re working hard to keep the earth in its best condition.
Rising Temperature : Average annual .072˚°F global temperature rise.
500 million people+ live in areas affected by erosion linked to climate change.
7 million lives lost annually from air pollution.
We are committed to supporting activities that strengthen the conservation and protection of natural resources, advance ecological sustainability, and foster harmony between communities and the environment.
Covid Relief
It’s easy to feel powerless in the face of COVID-19, but YES is making a difference by getting involved and giving back to the community, including providing food, medical and all other supplies, financial assistance, motivating virtually, counseling and checking in on people who might need support.
We have honoured hundreds of covid warriors (police, sweeper, doctor, social activist, water supplier, food supplier etc.) personally by reaching their work place or home.
